Police search for 'group of males' after reported fight in Liverpool
A man in his 20s suffered a puncture wound to his chest
Merseyside Police are searching for a group of people who they believe were involved in a fight in Liverpool City Centre.
It's thought to have taken place outside Jenny's Bar on Fenwick Street, last night.
A man in his 20s went into a McDonald's in Clayton Square with a puncture wound to his chest, around 2.30am.
He was taken to hospital, and has since been discharged.
An investigation is now underway to identify all those involved, police said.
Chief Inspector Andy Hughes said: “Thankfully the injured man was discharged from hospital earlier this morning, but clearly this incident could have been much worse and we are taking it extremely seriously.
“We are determined to find the people involved and establish the circumstances leading up to the incident.
“We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward so if you witnessed what happened, please let us know.”
