Everton will play AS Roma in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 9th August, marking the first full-capacity match at the club’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The fixture, scheduled for a 3pm kick-off, follows a series of reduced-capacity test events and will act as both a final safety test and the last pre-season game for David Moyes’ side before the start of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

With all 52,888 seats set to be made available, the game offers supporters a first opportunity to fully experience Everton’s new waterfront stadium. It will also allow Season Ticket Members to sit in their allocated seats for the upcoming season for the first time.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has been under phased introduction to fans through test events in recent weeks. The visit of Roma, a club with recent European pedigree, will provide the stadium’s first proper test under full crowd conditions.

Gates will open early, with The Plaza accessible from 12pm and stadium concourses from 1pm. Everton say fans will be able to explore the new facilities, which include live entertainment and expanded food and drink options.

Tickets will be released in a tiered system, beginning with priority access for Season Ticket Members. They can purchase their own seat from 10am on Monday 30th June. The sales windows are as follows:

Monday 7th July (10am): Season Ticket Members and Forever Blue+ Members can buy remaining seats.
Wednesday 9th July (10am): Forever Blue Members gain access.
Thursday 10th July (10am): General sale opens, subject to availability.

Pricing structure

The game is likely to attract significant interest, not just due to the calibre of opposition but because it marks a milestone in Everton’s move from Goodison Park to their new home.
