Emergency services are at the scene of a 'serious industrial incident' at Seaforth Docks.
Merseyside Police say they were called to the scene at around 10:15am, when it was reported that a man in his 60s had been involved in an incident with a forklift truck.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, remain at the scene.
Peel Ports say operations have been suspended until further notice.
