Merseyside Police Officers have enhanced powers in St Helens Town Centre today following the enactment of a Dispersal Order.

A Zone's been put in place following reports of youths causing anti-social behaviour in the centre over the weekend.

The Order enables officers to ask people to leave the area's involved, which includes he A58 Linkway West, A58 Linkway East, Parr Street, Shaw Street, Hall Street, Standish Street, College Street, Duke Street, A570 Boundary Road and Kirkland Street.

Officer's are urging parents and guardians to know where young people in their care are, and for reports of anti-social behaviour to continue to be handed to the force.

The Zone is in place until 5pm today.
