£500,000 in cash seized after Dingle vehicle stop

£500,000 in cash, and a kilo of what police think is cocaine, has been seized after a stop check in Dingle.
Officers stopped a man at around 8pm yesterday (20 June) because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
The man was searched - with officers finding the suspected cocaine and around £700 in cash.
A search of a property in Merebank, Sefton Park then uncovered £500,000 in cash and around a kilo of suspected cocaine, which have been seized.
A 28-year-old man from Sefton Park is being questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of criminal property, and drug-driving.
