Teenager arrested after 14-year-old stabbed in St Helens

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed "multiple times" in St Helens.

Police were called to Pennine Drive at around 22:15BST on Monday (02 September), where the boy was found seriously injured.

He is continue to recover from his injuries, and a man has been questioned on suspicion of wounding with intent.

He has been released on bail as investigations continue.

Officers are also asking to speak to any witnesses.
