Former Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear has joined Everton as their new CEO.

Kinnear was due to join the club on June 01, but has started his new role early.

It follows eight years at Elland Road, in which he oversaw two promotions to the Premier League.

Kinnear has previously held roles at Arsenal and West Ham.

The 47-year-old joins the Toffees as they prepare to say goodbye to Goodison Park, their home ground for the last 133 years.

They will move to their new Bramley Moore Dock stadium over the summer.

“This is a club with a huge and passionate fanbase, steeped in a proud history and with enormous potential thanks to the vision of our ownership and the move this summer to an awe-inspiring new stadium,” said Kinnear.

“I am excited to work with my colleagues at the club, our partners, and our fans as we strive together to deliver a successful and sustainable future for Everton, both on and off the pitch.”
