Champions Liverpool host local rivals Everton at Anfield in the Premier League today.

Here's all you need to know ahead of the fixture:

What time is kick-off?

The sold out fixture kicks-off at 12:30pm at Anfield.

The Liverpool bus is expected to arrive at the ground around 75 minutes before the game, and will travel down Anfield Road.

Everton players are expected to arrive around 100 minutes before kick-off.

Will Alexander Isak make his Premier League debut for Liverpool?

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has hinted British record signing Alexander Isak could be rested for the Merseyside derby.

Isak played 60 minutes in their midweek Champions League win over Athletico Madrid, but Slot said he "felt" the intensity.

Having missed pre-season while on strike at Newcastle to force his move to Merseyside, Isak's minutes are being managed.

Everton boss David Moyes promises fans "everything"

Everton boss David Moyes has said they have a "realism" going into the fixture, despite a strong start to the season.

The Toffees are sixth in the Premier League table, following two wins, a draw and a loss.

In a pre-match press conference, Moyes said: "We are up against it and we have to go there and fight for everything we can.

"It's having a realism of where the games are and where the clubs are. I need to try to shorten the gulf between the two clubs.

"At the moment Liverpool are champions, probably favourites or second favourites for the Champions League, and we are not.

"We are Everton, who have just come out of three or four difficult seasons and are trying to rebuild. Trying to bridge that gap is quite difficult to do."

Met Office weather warning

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning ahead of the Merseyside derby, with heavy showers possible over Liverpool.

A post on their website warned of a "possibility of some flooding" and delays on public transport, including trains and buses.

Raid is set to spread north from around 09:00BST on Saturday 20 September.

The warning won't lift until Sunday morning.

Storm Darragh forced the fixture to be postponed in December 2024.
