Essex woman handed hospital order after two ten year olds were stabbed in Friskney near Skegness

A woman found responsible for 2 children's stab wounds in Friskney near Skegness has been sentenced following a trial of facts,

The incident took place in November 2022.

4\1 year old Ann-Marie McEvoy was arrested after police were called to Fold Hill on the 29th of November.

Negotiators and firearms officers were in attendance and it was several hours before they gained access to the property where they discovered 2 10 year old boys with injuries - both are now fully recovered.

Earlier this year officials concluded McEvoy of Church Walk, in Colchester was not competent to participate in criminal proceedings - though a jury found she had unlawfully committed the act.

This morning at Lincoln Crown Court she was handed a hospital order in relation to the 2 counts of wounding with intent.
