People in Grimsby are being warned about traffic disruption ahead of the General Election.

Two counts are being held at The Town Hall so the council have brought in some temporary parking and road closures.

Parking next to the Town Hall (Doughty learning centre side) has been restricted from Wednesday morning until Friday morning.

On Thursday evening (4 July) from approximately 9pm, roads around the Town Hall will be closed to general traffic until approximately midnight.

The roads affected are:

Town Hall St (whole length) – Closed to all traffic.

Town Hall Sq (Doughty Rd – Town Hall St) – Closed except for election access.

East St (Town Hall St – Access at rear of Municipal Offices) – Closed except for election access.

While these closures are in place, there are two additional changes around the rear of the town hall to help traffic flow.

One-way operations on Pasture St (Victoria St W – East St) reversed.

East Street (Pasture St – Access at rear of Municipal Offices) – two-way vehicle movements.

All restrictions and changes will be lifted as soon as practically possible.
