A police worker who hugged and kissed a woman inappropriately and used sexual language in the officer has been fined £1200 and ordered to pay another £1130 in costs and surcharges.

Timothy Smith - who's 66 and was based at Holbeach Police Station - was found guilty at Nottinghamshire Magistrates on Thursday (2nd April).

He had denied that on May 9th last year he hugged a woman from behind and kissed her forehead and when discussing arrangements for the next day referred to "foreplay", despite claims from witnesses in the same room.

Smith is a former police volunteer and cadet leader who resigned both positions, the offence is not connected to anyone involved with the cadet programme say Lincolnshire Police.
