Police investigating a murder in Newark have arrested three people - including two teenagers.
It's after a man reportedly suffered a medical emergency whilst driving down on Lombard Street at around 5pm on Monday (16 June). He pulled over but was shortly pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, whilst a 16-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman are being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:“We’ve now arrested three suspects in connection with this man’s death, including one man on suspicion of murder.
“The victim’s family have been notified of this and continue to be supported by specially trained officers at this incredibly distressing time.
“While we’re announcing news of these arrests today, I’d stress that this murder investigation is still very much ongoing.
“As such, it is critical that anyone who has any information but hasn’t told us about it yet, does so immediately.
“Any piece of information, however small or insignificant it might seem, could be the difference between us solving a case like this.
“If anyone is cautious about contacting the police, you don’t have to do this directly but can instead pass on anything you know anonymously through Crimestoppers.”
All three suspects are in police custody.
