A man's died following a collision involving a car and a HGV near Boston.

It happened on the A1121 at Swineshead Bridge just after 2.40pm on Monday 29th April.

The driver of the car, a 37-year-old man died at the scene - his family have been informed.

The driver of the HGV wasn't seriously injured.

Police say the two vehicles involved were a white Audi A7 and a Scania HGV.

The Audi car was travelling eastbound towards Boston, and the HGV westbound towards Hubbert’s Bridge.

Lincolnshire Police have said:

"We would like to speak to anyone who may have information that will assist our investigation and has not yet spoken to officers. We are appealing for any video footage that may have captured either vehicle as they travelled towards the area, or the collision itself.

"Our investigation is at an early stage and we would like anyone who may be able to help to contact the Investigating Officer by email on SCIUinvestigators@lincs.police.uk or call 101, please refer to incident 240 of 29 April. 24".
