Lincolnshire's best local, up-and-coming musical talent will be taking to stages across Lincoln this weekend -

Lincoln Live has returned for its second year - where over 20 local artists and bands will perform in the city's streets

The event is organised by the City of Lincoln Council, Councillor Josh Wells says they've made some changes this year:

"We took some feedback form last year so this year we're providing more seating in the main stage area, and a bar area as well, so we've listened to the feedback people have given us, and crucially we've listened to the artists as well who are performing. This event is free so for them it's a great opportunity to showcase what they can offer.

"We've got 23 acts across the two days. So, really exciting, lots of new artists performing for the first time, and it's to give them a chance to perform in front of a crowd.

"We hope this event will become a permanent fixture in Lincoln's calendar. We're really, really impressed with the quality of the artists that have come through, and for the people coming into the city, locals and also businesses, it's a great atmosphere and we're hopeful it'll be a great event and the weather should be good as well."

Taking place on 31 August and 1 September, this year's event will see live music taking place in both the city centre and the Cathedral Quarter.

As well as the main stage in Cornhill Square, there will also be a ‘Lincoln Live Unplugged’ zone in St Paul in the Bail, brought to life by Southside Lincoln. The Unplugged zone will feature exclusively acoustic performances, with a line-up curated by Acoustic Nations Lincoln.
