It's for one of the most successful and longest-running agricultural events in the country and it starts - the Lincolnshire show

It's in its 139th year and celebrates food, farming and Lincolnshire life.

Last year almost 60 thousand people attended and this year it's hoped it'll be just as busy this time if not even more packed.

We spoke to Charlotte Powell the Chief Executive.

She told us: "We've got some favourites returning - we've got the Shetland grand national this year."

There really is something for everybody

"We've got the Falcons dropping from the sky and having a lovely display which should be fantastic."

"There really is something for everybody and lots to see."

"We've got the brand new garden show - which is in our agricultural area."

"I'm really looking forward to going there and learning more about pot plants, allotments etc."

"Also buying some plants over there."

"And also seeing some beautiful art exhibitions from some local nurseries."

"It's like our own Chelsea show - that's what I'm going to describe it as."

Showground

Traders setting up yesterday were looking forward to it.

"I'll be running around the showground at 3 o clock to get more stock - that'll be good fun - looking forward to that."

"The show itself is absolutely amazing isn't it?"

"That's wonderful but I'm looking forward to speaking to everyone who comes by."

"I'm most looking to meeting new people - new opportunities and having new relationships with people."
