Four arrested after violent robbery in Scunthorpe leaves man critically injured
Police respond to early morning assault on Lindsey Street involving weapons and a stolen van
Four people have been arrested following a serious robbery in Scunthorpe that left a man critically injured in the early hours of Sunday morning (28 September 2025).
Emergency services were called to Lindsey Street after reports of a violent altercation outside a property.
It's alleged that two men and two women, armed with knives and a bat, attacked a man who had arrived in a van. One of the suspects is believed to have then taken the victim’s vehicle and driven off.
The other three individuals are said to have taken personal items from the man before fleeing the scene.
A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Following swift police action, a man and a woman were arrested at a property on Rowland Road in Scunthorpe. The 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery and also on suspicion of obstructing or resisting a constable. The 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
A further two suspects — a 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman — were arrested near Cottage Beck Road, Frodingham, also on suspicion of wounding with intent.
All four individuals remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
Humberside Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward in order to support their investigation.
