Police have confirmed that the death of a man whose body was found in Lincoln is not being treated as suspicious.
The death of a man whose body was found near Waterside South in Lincoln is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.
The discovery was made just before 1pm on Thursday 29 May, after officers were called to a report of a concern for safety in the area. The man’s body was located past the railway bridge.
Lincolnshire Police said this morning (30 May) that, following initial enquiries, the death is being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and inform the man’s next of kin.
A police presence is expected to remain in the area for the time being.
