We've been getting reaction to the KIng's speech from across Lincolnshire and Newark.

His Majesty announced that 40 bills will be introduced which the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer says will help 'drive growth'.

However measures are being criticised by the new MP for Boston and Skegness Richard Tice

Labour say they have the right plans in place to drive growth

But Mr Tice from Reform UK claims it's not enough.

Businesses in my constituency are going to struggle with more process - more bureaucracy

He says: "They talk about growth but it's not a programme that's going to deliver any growth whatsoever."

"My constituents are going to get poorer, taxes are going to go up - businesses in my constituency are going to struggle with more process - more bureaucracy - more forms."

"And they're obsessed with accelerating net zero - that nobody in my constituency wants."

"We're going to be blighted in our countryside with hundreds of massive pylons that people don't want. "

"It's an absolute outrage."

"On how you grow the economy - cutting wasteful spending - there's no mention of that."

He didn't talk about lawful immigration

"All it is is spend, spend spend but Government's are very bad at spending taxpayers money wisely and carefully."

He also was unhappy with measures outlined to deal with immigration.

"The only thing that will stop the boats is to leave the European Convention on Human Rights and to pick up and take back."

"No one apart from our party has the courage to do it."

"He didn't talk about lawful immigration which is completely out of control."

In response the Government says the Kings speech set out plans to 'modernise the asylum and immigration system' by establishing a new Border Security Command'
