Teen dies and three others injured after car crashes into building near Ormskirk
Three teenage boys are currently being treated for serious injuries
A teenager has died, and three others have been seriously injured, after a car crashed into a building near Ormskirk.
Emergency services rushed to Firs Tree Lane, Aughton, at around 9pm last night after reports a Vauxhall Corsa smashed into a farm building.
A 17-year-old was rushed to hospital, where he died a short time later. Three other teenage boys were also rushed to hospital. They are being treated for serious injuries.
Det Sgt Joseph Ghigi, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) said: “This collision has very sadly resulted in the death of one young man and left three others with serious injuries and my thoughts are with all of their loved ones at this time.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have either seen the collision or the car in the moments before the collision, or anyone who has any dashcam or mobile phone footage or CCTV to get in touch.”
