Man seriously injured after crash on the M6 near Preston dies
It's after a car left the carriageway and rolled over several times near Billsborrow
A man who was seriously injured after a car left the carriageway on the M6 near Preston has died.
In a fresh update police say the 33-year-old, who's from Carlisle, sustained a serious head injury and passed away in hospital yesterday.
A woman in her 20s and two children who were passengers in the car, were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Another passenger, a woman in her 60s, remains in hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the southbound carriageway near Billsborrow on Monday afternoon, after receiving reports that a Seat car had left the carriageway and flipped over several times.
Det Sgt Helen Parkinson of Lancashire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “My thoughts first and foremost are very much with the man’s family and loved ones at this distressing time.
“Our investigation into the collision continues and we continue to appeal for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage, to contact us.”
