Drone photos reveal sheer scale of Blackpool fire
Emergency services were called to the scene on Waterloo Road late Friday evening
Images, released by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, show the scale of a huge fire, which took hold at a commercial building in Blackpool.
At 23:30 on Friday (6 February) fifteen fire engines attended the blaze on Waterloo Road.
Crews utilised six breathing apparatus and two ground monitors to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained at the scene this weekend, tackling hotspots, and damping down the fire.
The fire service described the scene as 'complex' given the size of the premises, severity of the fire and structural stability.
In a statement on Facebook, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We continue to work with partners agencies to support residents and businesses, and bring the incident to a safe conclusion as quickly as possible.
"We would like to thank the local community for their kinds words and understanding whilst we deal with this complex incident."
