Delays on railways as line closed in East Lancashire
It's been shut throughout the morning rush. Emergency services are dealing with an 'incident'
Commuters are being warned of delays after a main Lancashire railway line had to be closed.
National Rail say the track, in East Lancashire, is shut between Blackburn and Colne / Burnley because of an ongoing 'incident'.
Emergency services say disruption is expected until at least 11am this morning.
In an update on social media site, X, operator Northern said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident near the railway between Blackburn and Hebden Bridge some lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations will be cancelled"
Replacement buses are replacing trains until at least 11am.
