Strike action on Avanti West Coast services have been suspended, after a new offer was made to unions.

Train Managers from the RMT were due to walk out on the 22, 23 and 29 December in an ongoing row over pay and conditions.

In an update, the union says the new offer includes revised rest day working payments, as well as creation of a rest day working agreement, and discussions on a new technology agreement.

Train Managers will now take a vote on the offer in a referendum, which is due to close on 17 December.
