Police are appealing for information after a paving slab was allegedly thrown through the window of a police car in Morecambe.

Officers say it happened in the Euston Road area at around 4.20pm yesterday afternoon, whilst the officer was dealing with an incident.

Police want to speak to a man, dressed in a black skull mask, in connection with the incident.

In a post on Facebook, they said: "We would like to speak to the man in the photograph about a criminal damage which occurred on Euston Road in Morecambe today (06/05/24) at around 16:20hrs.

"Whilst an officer was inside an address taking details of an incident, the man below threw a paving slab at the windscreen of a marked police vehicle, causing it to smash. We have now had to remove the vehicle from the road, meaning there is one less vehicle available to deploy to emergency incidents."

Officers want anyone who saw anything to contact them on 101, quoting log number LC-20240506-0997.
