2-year-old seriously injured after being hit by car in Preston

A 2-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car in Preston.

Emergency services were called to Garstang Road in Fulwood at just after 11am yesterday morning, after receiving reports of a collision involving the toddler.

He received medical treatment, and was airlifted to hospital. Police say he has sustained "serious injuries".

An investigation has now been launched by Lancashire Police. In an update on social media, the force said: "At 11.09am today, we were called to a road traffic collision on Garstang Road in Fulwood

"A 2 yr old boy was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries"
