Worcester mum says she will always remember her daughter
Liz Bishop's daughter Lily-Mai passed away in 2018
A mum from Worcester says her daughter will always be a part of her everyday life, after she passed away in 2018.
Liz Bishop's daughter Lily-Mai was born in April 2011, and was just weeks old when she was diagnosed with a condition without a name, which left her unable to walk unaided or talk.
She was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014, and Liz says she will never forget her.
"No matter what she was going through, she always had a smile on her face," Liz said.
"Lily-Mai is still very much a part of our everyday life, If I can talk about Lily-Mai I'm happy, I'm in my element, because I'm keeping her memory alive.
"This year she would have been 13, and I often think about what would she be like now, and whether she would still be that cheeky girl who had everyone wrapped around her finger.
"Everyone says to me, you're so strong, but I don't see that, I just see myself as a mum, who had to do what I needed to do to look after my children, and to look after my child."
Liz has thanked Acorns Children's Hospice for all their support, and says they gave her and her family a chance to create memories together.
She said: "Not only did they care for Lily-Mai, they cared for myself and my two children, so we always had a hot meal in front of us.
"They did our laundry, they made sure that we were ok, it was just invaluable really, and I think without them life would have been very different."
