Women's walk and talk group set up in Bromsgrove to tackle loneliness
The group allows women to get outside and make new connections
A women's wellness group in Worcestershire has been set up to give people a chance to meet new friends, and stop them from feeling lonely.
Siobhan Crowther runs a weekly walk and talk in Bromsgrove alongside her friend Danielle, where women can meet up and get outside their house.
She says loneliness is something that can affect everybody in different ways, and doing things like going out for fresh air and meeting new people can help.
"The whole thing behind it really is that this piece of human connection is so needed, and I don't think we're back to where we were pre-pandemic," she said.
""It's so important to have those connections, and really get back to basics again of just speaking to people and saying hello, forming those connections and talking.
"I think when you do speak to people, they usually think loneliness is someone elderly maybe sitting in the house on their own, but we know that's not the case, and we could be surrounded with people and be lonely.
"The more we talk, the more we can address these issues, and just getting out for a walk in a group, or with a friend, can really help."
