Woman died in fatal collision in Worcester

A woman has died and a man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a collision involving a car and a coach in Worcester.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Blackmore Park Road and the B4208 at 3.21pm.

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found three patients; a woman and two men.

“The woman, a passenger in the car, was in a critical condition. Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save her, and she was declared dead at the scene.

“One man, the driver of the car, was found in a critical condition. Crews administered specialist trauma care, before he was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to received further specialist care.

“The second man, the driver of the coach, was assessed by ambulance staff, but did not wish to be conveyed to hospital.”
