A man has been critically injured after a collision in Kidderminster this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 2.07pm to the junction of Lower Mill Street and Park Butts Ringway and sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. A Driver Training Unit from our Academy was also in attendance after coming across the incident and offering assistance.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found a car which was off the road following reports of a collision.

“They found a man in a critical condition receiving basic life support from bystanders and ambulance staff immediately took over to administer advanced life support.

“He was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with MERIT travelling on board to continue treatment en route.”
