A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an unexplained death in Droitwich.
Officers were called to a property in Chestnut Spinney at around 4.10am yesterday morning (1 July) after a woman was found injured.
A 49-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Her death is being treated as unexplained.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
etective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding, senior investigating officer, said: “When officers arrived it became clear that the woman’s injuries were not survivable, and she sadly died at the scene.
“Her death is currently being treated as unexplained. An investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances around her death. At this stage we’re keeping an open mind and are exploring all lines of enquiry.
“Our thoughts are with the woman's family at this difficult time."
