A man accused of murder and attempted murder, after a woman was killed and another was seriously injured in Worcester, has appeared before a Crown Court judge.
Damian Homer was not required to enter a plea to the charges, when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court this morning (Tuesday) via video-link from HMP Hewell.
The 50-year-old, of Haresfield Close, Worcester, is charged with killing Wendy Francis, 61, on March 2, and attempting to kill Stacey Hill, 38, who was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Homer, wearing a black T-shirt, sobbed as he confirmed his name at the start of the seven-minute hearing, during which he could be seen wiping away tears with a tissue and covering his face with his hands.
Judge James Burbidge KC remanded him in custody until a plea hearing on June 7.
