Worcester: Two people suffer life-threatening injuries in M5 crash

Two people have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, after a crash on the M5 at Worcester.

It happened at around 5.50pm yesterday evening (14th June), involving a lorry and a car, through junction seven.

The motorway was later closed in both directions through the junction, with traffic diverted via the slip roads.

Investigation work at the scene was completed by police in the early hours, with the road fully re-opened around 4am.

In a statement to Hits Radio, West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a lorry and a car between the slip roads on junction 7 northbound on the M5 at around 5.50pm yesterday evening (14 June).

"Two people were taken to hospital with life threatening injuries."
