Engineering works to impact Worcester to Hereford rail line until end of month
Work takes place from today (26 January) to the 31 January, with no trains running on the section of the line.
Planned engineering works starting today (26 January) on the rail network between Worcester and Hereford are set to cause disruption until the end of the month.
West Midlands Railway say services between Worcester and Hereford will be operated by rail replacement buses from the 26-31 January.
No trains will run on the Worcester Shrub Hill to Hereford section, with those from Birmingham stopping at Worcester and terminating.
Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director at West Midlands Railway, said: “We are grateful for our passengers’ patience while Network Rail carries out essential engineering works between Worcester and Hereford for six days, starting Sunday.
“Rail replacement buses will be in place, and we are encouraging passengers to check their journey ahead of time. Up-to-date information is available via journey planners and our website.”
Rail users are being reminded to check before they travel to see how their route is affected, and how they can still get to where they need to.
