Four people have been arrested, following a stabbing incident in Gloucester.

It happened on Westgate Street, near Westgate Island, at around 5.00pm yesterday (Thursday 15th May).

The victim was allegedly sat in his car, stationary at traffic lights, when a Red Kia pulled up by the side of him.

The occupants shouted at the victim before a male got out of the Kia, ran over to his car and lunged at him with a knife through the open car window.

A second male then entered the victim's car through the passenger door and punched him multiple times in the face.

They then returned to their own vehicle, which was being driven by a woman, and fled from the scene.

The victim, a man in his 20s, managed to drive to a nearby garage, where police officers gave him first aid before paramedics arrived.

He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment to a large laceration on his leg, a cut to his chest and injuries to his face.

He's since been discharged.

Gloucestershire Police control room staff and CCTV operatives tracked and located the suspect's vehicle in Gloucester city centre.

Four people were located at a nearby address by armed response officers.

A search of the property was carried out and a quantity of Class A drugs and drug paraphernalia including scales, phones and zip lock bags were found.

A man and woman in their 20s and two teenage boys, all from Gloucester, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

They remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
