Rahul Mandal has only just been crowned winner of this year's The Great British Bake Off, but the applications are ALREADY open for the next series. Do you think you could be the next Nadiya, Candice, or Rahul? Well, if you do, here are the things you need to know to be in with a chance of appearing on the show.

Applications should be done through the official website, which closes on the 6th January 2019. You can save your application and return to it at a later time, so there's no excuse that you don't have time!

The application website says, 'The Great British Bake Off kneads you. We're looking for a gourmet selection of amateur bakers to enter the tent for the tenth series of The Great British Bake Off. If you or someone you know can prove to perfection and rise to the occasion, then why not apply now.'

Further information on the Bake Off website asks if you're 'bonkers about baking', 'Do you feel like the missing ingredient in a baking family?' and 'Could you handle the judges’ feedback?'. Of course if the answers are YES to these questions, it sounds like you should apply!

The Great British Bake Off returned this year for the second time on Channel 4, after airing on the BBC since 2010. Despite losing baking legend Mary Berry, when the show moved channels, it has continued to be a success, with the new line-up.

This series we've seen the introduction of the vegan week, which was VERY popular with many viewers who expressed their excitement at what would be made. Then, last week, fan-favourite Briony Williams from Bristol was sent home after an admittedly difficult week. The full-time mum won viewers over through the weeks with her creativity and humour, but Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith chose to send her home.

The Great British Bake Off final for the 2018 series was shown on Tuesday 30th October and Rahul Mandal was revealed as the winner.
