With names like Celia Imrie, Stephen Fry, and Alan Carr all taking part in series one, and the likes of Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen and Richard E. Grant signing up for series two, it's fair to say BBC bosses don't seem to struggle to get big names for The Celebrity Traitors.

As the second series continues to have the nation hooked, one of the masterminds behind the record-breaking show has now looked ahead to the future, admitting which HUGE name he'd love to see on the third series.

Speaking during an interview with Radio Times, Stephen Lambert admitted: “Tom Cruise, maybe!

“And we would like to have a big sports star. But if they are an active one, they have commitments.”

Going on to explain why celebs could maybe turn down the show, he added: “Yes, celebrities find it uncomfortable because they have so little control. It’s such an immersive game that people get caught up in it, and show how they really are.”

Although we don't know which celebs will take part in the next series, we do know that both The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors will run until at least 2030, thanks to the show's amazing success.

Announcing the exciting news back in March, the BBC said: 'Made by Studio Lambert Scotland, The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors will continue to promise audiences even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty from the now iconic Ardross Castle.'

Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert said at the time: “The Traitors has become a genuine television phenomenon across the world, but especially in the UK, and we’re thrilled to continue the journey with the BBC. It’s hugely exciting that audiences will have many more years of strategy, suspense and shocking twists still to come.”

Meanwhile, series two of The Celebrity Traitors continues to captivate audiences across the UK.

After Amol Rajan was murdered in episode two, the group then banished Traitor Richard E. Grant and Faithful Myha'la in episode three. Episode four saw the end for Bella Ramsey (murdered) and Julie Hesmondhalgh (banished).

The Celebrity Traitors continues every Thursday and Friday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
