Fleur East and Tyler West give energetic speech as Strictly Come Dancing picks up an NTA🏆
Congratulations to everyone involved
Stars of the small screen were out in force last night at the National Television Awards (NTAs), where Joel Dommett took to the stage at the O2 Arena for the third time.
Congratulations are in order for Strictly Come Dancing as they picked up this year's award for Best Talent Show. Other nominees were The Great British Bake Off, Britain's Got Talent, and The Great British Sewing Bee.
Picking up the Best Talent Show award on behalf of Strictly Come Dancing were Fleur East and Tyler West, who took to the stage to receive the prestigious award, along with others involved with the show, thanking the fans for voting for the show.
Holding the award, Fleur told the audience: "The show wouldn't be what it is without the amazing Strictly fans, (we're) ready to show love to the icons Tess and Claudia, who couldn't be here tonight."
She went on to 'big up' the amazing judges, and fellow 2022 celebrity cast and Strictly pros. Fleur also paid tribute to Strictly professional Amy Dowden who was on stage. Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and has been receiving treatment, but is still very much involved in the show.
Tyler West then continued to thank: "The whole crew, behind the scenes, every single person who put so many effort into that TV show, makes it what it is."
He went on to add: "And some of us found love", alluding to the fact that he and his current girlfriend Molly Rainford met on the show.
Both Hits Radio presenter Fleur East and our sister station KISS presenter Tyler West took part in last year's Strictly with Fleur and her professional partner Vito Coppola, making it all the way to the final, which was eventually won by Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal.
Meanwhile we are just a few weeks away from the new season of Strictly Come Dancing, once again bringing together celebrities such as Adam Thomas, Bobby Brazier and Zara McDermott.
