The brand new series of My Mum, Your Dad kicked off on Monday 16th September, as this year's singletons attempt to find love in the luxury retreat, over the watchful eye of their grown-up children who nominated them for the show.

Ahead of series two starting, host Davina McCall hinted a parent from series one would be returning for another chance to look for love, and now their identity has been revealed!

Taking to social media to confirm the news, Paul Edwards from series one wrote: '‼️‼️WERE BACK‼️‼️ I’m truly honoured and privileged to have shared this experience once again with such beautiful cast members. You all will remain my friends forever ❤️❤️Tune in tonight 9pm ITV 1 for our arrival'. (sic)

Paul's daughter Mazey will also return, with her telling her own followers: 'Guess who’s back! Here we go for round 2 to see if dad has anymore luck this time around… tune in to find out! See you on screens 9pm tonight! 🦋🦋🦋 @mymumyourdaduk #mymumyourdad'. (sic)

Paul and Mazey will make their entrance to the show during the episode on Thursday 19th September.

Taking to Instagram last weekend, the official My Mum, Your Dad account shared a photo of Davina, hinting a previous cast member could return. The post read: 'We’ve got a little surprise headed your way... A parent from last series is stepping back into the retreat, but who could it be? 🤫 #MyMumYourDad'.

Following the revelation, several fans of the show were speculating as to who it could be, with many hoping for Caroline to return. In the first season, viewers had the chance to see Caroline originally paired with Roger, who ultimately ended up with Janey - and the pair are still together now.

However, Caroline was sadly evicted from the retreat, as it was agreed she and fellow contestant Clayton hadn't found a connection with anyone during their time on the show.

Despite the speculation, it's Paul who is returning to the show.
