Since former Love Island legend Maura Higgins left the infamous I'm A Celebrity jungle, rumours have been rife that current host Maya Jama is set to step down, with Maura allegedly taking her place. Maya - who has hosted the show since 2023 - has now shut down the 'fake news', however, and set the record straight...
Taking to her Instagram Story, the much-loved Love Island host wrote: 'I will be presenting Love Island next year and have no plans to leave right now', before continuing: 'Filmed the promo a couple of days ago actually. Fake news is fake news-ing as usual'.
Is Maya Jama quitting Love Island?
Maya has confirmed that she is not leaving the popular ITV2 show anytime soon, confirming she will be back for hosting duties in 2025 and has no plans to leave the show for the time being.
It has been reported that Maura has also shut down the rumours.
How long has Maya hosted Love Island for?
Maya took over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore back in 2023, after the former host revealed in 2022 that she was stepping down from the role.
Since then, Maya has not only hosted the main summer series of the show twice, but also fronted Love Island Games and Love Island All Stars - with All Stars set to return, with Maya, in January 2025.
Plenty of names are already topping the rumoured list for Love Island: All Stars - with former Islander and Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother star Ekin-Su having reportedly signed up.
