Could Joey Essex enter Love Island: All Stars as a bombshell?!

Another one to add to his CV?

It's safe to say Love Island fans were left shocked to the core last Summer, when reality TV royalty Joey Essex popped up as a bombshell in the villa, going on to cause a major stir with his fellow Islanders.

Despite leaving the show loved-up with Jessy Potts, unsurprisingly things didn't work out for the pair back in the UK, and now Joey is single again... Just in time for the brand new Love Island: All Stars starting.

Now that the initial 12 Islanders have been unveiled, including Scott Thomas, Gabby Allen and Curtis Pritchard, rumours are now rife about which former Islanders will return as bombshells throughout the series.

Is Joey Essex going on Love Island: All Stars?

As fans will know, Joey hasn't been named in the initial series two line-up, and he did state last year that he's taking a break from reality TV. However, series 10 star Mitch Taylor has seemingly hinted he's 'heard rumours' that Joey could be involved.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, Mitch said: "I’ll be talking crap about Joey Essex if he goes in. I’ll be disappointed with the production team if they put him in.

"As much as Joey is a great character, and plays his character well – he’s fantastic TV – but Love Island, isn’t about celebrities. When he first went on, I was like fair enough, but I felt bad for the other contestants because it was very much the Joey show. I think it’ll kill the show if Joey goes back into Love Island. Honestly, I think it would kill the show, because it’s the general public who are being made famous and Joey Essex is already a celebrity."

He added: "So I don’t know why they’d do it. It’s like sticking Ronaldo in Port Vale’s team or something. It would be just be made all about him.

"And he is a hard worker, so he’ll last the five weeks. But I don’t think he’ll win, because he doesn’t want a girlfriend out of it."

Fans of the hit ITV2/STV2 reality show weren't too pleased when Joey entered the villa last Summer, with many thinking he'd been planted a 'mole' by bosses.

On his exit, Joey, who has appeared on shows such as TOWIE, I'm A Celeb, Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother over the years, revealed on This Morning that he was taking a break from the UK to work in America.

He said: “I’m taking a huge break. I feel like I’ve done every reality show possible - I don’t think I’d really want to do Strictly.

"I’m just taking a break and I've got some opportunities over in America.”

We will have to wait and see if Joey shows up in South Africa! 👀

Love Island: All Stars begins at 9pm on Monday 13th January.
