Since Caroline Quentin, Max George and Jason Bell were confirmed as the first three Strictly Come Dancing contestants during Tuesday night's episode of The One Show, the announcements have been coming in thick and fast!

As well as comedian Bill Bailey revealing he's doing the show in tribute to his late mother, Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams will also make history with the show's first ever same-sex couple.

Two more names have now been added to the official line-up, with This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield confirming reality star Jamie Laing and EastEnders actress Maisie Smith on today's show (Thursday 3rd September).

Speaking about her involvement in the show, Maisie said, “Get me in those sequins, I can’t wait to dive into the Strictly fancy dress box this winter! This is a dream come true.”

Bill Bailey

Comedian Bill Bailey revealed he decided to take part in the show for a new 'challenge', admitting his late mum would have loved watching him on the show.

JJ Chalmers

Scottish TV presenter JJ Chalmers has also joined the line-up! The former Royal Marine is best known for being a public speaker and an Invictus Games medallist.

JJ suffered some life-changing injuries in a bomb blast in Afghanistan in 2011.

Jamie Laing

After being forced to quit the show in 2019 due to injury, Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing is back to show off his moves in 2020!

Maisie Smith

EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, who plays the role of Tiffany Butcher on the BBC soap, has also been announced in the line-up.

HRVY

Pop star HRVY, real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell, is the 11th celebrity to join the line-up.

Jacqui Smith

The line-up is completed by former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.

Of course, Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing was originally due to appear on the 2019 series of Strictly, but he was forced to quit the show after injuring his ankle in training for a group routine.

Speaking to his fans at the time, Jamie said, "I am absolutely devastated that I am unable to continue in the competition. I was so excited to hit the dance floor!

“I would like to wish the lovely couples all the very best and hope they enjoy their time on the show to the fullest.”

Jamie was replaced by Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, who of course, went on to become the 2019 champion following his amazing performances with professional partner Oti Mabuse.

Speaking about his second-chance, Jamie said, "Here we go again, hopefully this time I can last long enough so my mum can see me dance. The reason I’m doing it, is to make my mum proud but all I did last year was make her even more disappointed. Let’s change that this year, can’t wait!!”

Let's hope Jamie gets to show off moves this year! 🕺
