Dancing On Ice bosses are reportedly worried that James Jordan will be unable to perform at the weekend after the star has suffered a nasty injury during rehearsals, just days before the semi-final.

The 40-year-old's co-stars have reportedly been left 'terrified' after witnessing the unfortunate accident, which has left James with a torn hernia. According to OK!, he has since claimed that the injury is making it 'hard' for him to train'.

James isn't the first contestant this year to injure himself, with co-star and former Love Island contestant Wes Nelson suffering a bad fall back in January and Gemma Collins hitting the ice during a live performance.

Speaking to Daily Star, the ballroom dancer said, “I’ve ripped open my hernia. I’ve also got lower back pain because of it."

James also went on to add that he is "falling to bits", describing such injuries as harder to manage as you get older.

It has only been one year since James underwent a double hernia operation, taking to Instagram back in December (2018) to say, 'One year ago today I had my double hernia operation. Here’s me just before surgery. Amazing what can happen in one year...... we were both devastated to have to cancel our Tour, but I’ve always said the old saying ‘one door closes but another will always open’ Now I’m preparing for @dancingonice and I’m so excited to show you all how hard I’ve been working' sic.
