First look and start date for new drama The Imposter with Kym Marsh and Dannii Minogue

With shows like The Wives, Coma, The Teacher and The Feud, Channel 5 are certainly serving us with great TV at the moment, and now they've commissioned a new Australian drama which will see Dannii Minogue make a return to acting.
More than 30 years after she left Home and Away, Dannii will appear alongside former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, and Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne in a new drama called Imposter.
What is Imposter about?
The official plot states: 'A splashy seaside hotel becomes the centre of a bitter family dispute as matriarch Helen refuses to sell, despite pressure from her three adult children. But Helen is hiding a secret: a daughter she gave up for adoption decades ago.
'When Amanda suddenly appears, Helen welcomes her with open arms— but is Amanda who she says she is? The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder'.

On 27th August, Dannii shared a post on Instagram which revealed Imposter is 'coming soon'.
Sharing a photo alongside Kym and Jackie, Dannii wrote: We’re not in Summer Bay any more Toto! 🧑🧑🧒🧒 🏨 🌊 🎭 🔪🩸🕵️♂️ #bringthedrama’ #Imposter…coming soon @channel10au @channel5_tv #jackiewoodburne @marsh_kym'. (sic)
After seeing Dannii's post, fans were quick to comment their excitement for her return to acting, with one writing: 'Oh I can’t wait for this! 😍'. Another commented: 'Amazing! It looks like it's going to be amazing and I'm looking forward to watching it❤️'.
Somebody else wrote: 'SO. Excited for this 😍😍', with another writing: 'Cannot wait ❤️🙌❤️🙌❤️'. (sic)
What channel is it on?
Imposter will air on Channel 5 here in the UK.
Who is in the cast?
Although we know Jackie Woodburne will play the role of family matriarch Helen, and Kym Marsh will play the role of Amanda, the mysterious woman claiming to be Helen’s long-lost daughter, no other roles have been specified just yet.
The likes of Jane Harber, Jackson Gallagher, Don Hany and Charlie Clausen will have supporting roles alongside Dannii Minogue.

How many episodes?
The series will be made up of 4x60 minute episodes.
Where was it filmed?
Filming took place in Victoria, Australia this Summer. Pre-production was held at the old Neighbours studio in Nunawading, with on location filming also taking place in Melbourne.
The Imposter will air on Channel 5 later this month.
