Hollyoaks: Here are the 7 suspects who could shoot Mercedes McQueen tonight

After Hollyoaks bosses announced an explosive storyline for Mercedes McQueen, AKA Jennifer Metcalfe, which sees her being shot and left for dead in tonight's episode (5th Nov), fans of the show have been speculating which character will be the culprit.
Some have argued it will be Grace Black, after Mercedes ran her over and never admitted her wrongdoing, instead letting Harry Thompson take the blame.
She's also cheated on her hunky husband Sylver with bad boy Liam Donovan - and let us not forget, she basically abandoned her son Bobby... So at this point, it could be anyone.
Now that the shooting episode is almost upon us, show bosses have revealed the seven people who are most likely to have shot the beloved character, meaning one character's comeuppance is surely on it's way.

1) Diane Hutchinson
First up is Diane Hutchinson, who will no doubt be fuming that Mercedes and Liam framed her step-son Harry as the driver during Grace's hit-and-run.

6/7) Sylver McQueen and Liam Donovan
Also lined-up as a culprit is Mercedes' hubby Sylver McQueen as well as her secret lover Liam Donovan. Will the pair turn their back on her together and both be part of the shooting?
1) Diane Hutchinson
First up is Diane Hutchinson, who will no doubt be fuming that Mercedes and Liam framed her step-son Harry as the driver during Grace's hit-and-run.
2) Joel Dexter
Also revealed as a potential culprit is priest Joel Dexter, who was beaten up as a result of finding out about Mercedes and Liam's part in the hit-and-run.
3) Grace Black
Thirdly, Grace Black is a suspect, that's if she finds out that Mercedes ran her over. It doesn't seem that unlikely, seeing as though the feisty women have never got on.
4) Breda McQueen
Could Mercedes mother and current serial killer Breda McQueen stoop as low as killing Mercedes? She's killed plenty of the village residents before, so it's highly likely.
5) James Nightingale
The soap's producers also revealed James Nightingale is on the war path, following Harry's death and being kicked out of his home. Will he find out about Mercedes using Harry as a scapegoat and turn on the beauty?
