Fans of hit MTV show Geordie Shore were in a bit of tizz yesterday when certain news outlets reported that G Shore original Sophie Kasaei had been AXED from the show.

It was being reported that bosses had decided to let Sophie go, with a source saying, "It’s one of the biggest shake ups they’d had in a long time and this time Sophie’s head was on the block. She has been told she’s taking a supporting role in the next series and will only be appearing on screen at certain points throughout the series. When they go into lock-down in the house at the start of January, Sophie won’t be living with them."

HOWEVER, don't panic Geordie Shore fans! Sophie has hit back at the new claims, categorically DENYING them!

Sharing the false news story to her Twitter account, Sophie told her 926K followers, 'I mean this is a whole load of bollox Iv just got my contract for the next series and i start my filming tomorrow .... why do u print so much s---- and how is it legal?'. sic

Sophie was an original cast member when Geordie Shore first started back in 2011, she joined the likes of Gaz Beadle, Vicky Pattison and Chalotte Crosby.

The reality star decided to quit the show after series seven, but she later returned for series 13 and has since been a very popular cast member.
