Belle Dingle and Jamie Tate's affair on Emmerdale has been bubbling away for months now, but when Cain Dingle arrives home from a trip and learns they're still seeing each other, she's forced to make the ultimate sacrifice.

In this Montague/Capulet scenario, Belle has to choose between her love and her family... and Dingle patriarch Zak is not prepared for her decision.

Cain is livid

Elsewhere, while Mandy Dingle tries her best to prove to her son Vinny that his estranged dad Paul is no good, she's left red faced when her accusations against him prove baseless.

But while Paul appears to have proven himself this time round, is he really the changed man he claims to be?

Meanwhile, Marlon Dingle is wracked with guilt when he realises his petty act of revenge could have serious consequences for Amy Wyatt, and Tracy Metcalfe thinks it's time to announce her pregnancy.

CHECK OUT: Emmerdale Monday 31 August - Friday 4 September:

Cain arrives back in Emmerdale from his trip and is less than pleased when he finds out that Belle has continued her affair with Jamie.

Laying into her, Cain demands to know what she's thinking getting back together with a Tate, and Belle struggles to hide her guilt.

Meanwhile, Jamie is uneasy when he finds out that Belle has been helping Moira at Butler's. Belle agrees to stop but wants something from Jamie in return.

Later on, Moira is caught off guard when she receives a call from the police saying they've identified another potential suspect in her case.

As she speaks with the officer, Moira finds herself feeling overwhelmed as all of the memories and feelings from the night come flooding back.

Later on, Nate flies off the handle when he sees Belle and Jamie sitting outside the café, smashing Jamie's wing mirror off his car.

As Belle launches into defence for her man, Cain arrives on the scene and there's a sense she's burned bridges with her family.

Later on, Belle arrives at the Dingle's to break the news to Zak that she's moving out of the family home and in with Jamie.

The Dingle's are stunned into silence as Belle collects her things. Will they ever be able to repair the damage this affair has caused?

Elsewhere, Mandy is heading home from a heavy weekend at the Dingle's when she passes the shop and overhears David announcing the 'find the ball' competition winner.

But Mandy can't help but notice Paul eyeing the envelope containing the cash prize and when it goes missing hours later, she's quick to point the finger.

Still determined to prove to Vinny that Paul can't be trusted, Mandy is insistent that he had something to do with the prize money going missing.

Later on, Mandy, Vinny and Paul return to the shop and David tells them he'd just misplaced the cash after all, leaving Mandy red faced.

Vinny is furious with Mandy for publicly accusing his dad and warns her not to make him choose between the two of them.

Paul promises Vinny that nothing will get between them ever again and while Mandy desperately apologises, Vinny sends her on her way with her tail between her legs.

Meanwhile, Al calls at the pub to gloat about how well the Hide's takeaway service is doing and Marlon is determined to bring him down a peg or two.

Intercepting a delivery of pizzas, Marlon stows them in his car but later on Amy arrives at the pub saying Al is threatening to fire her over a lost order.

Marlon is overwhelmed with guilt as he realises his petty revenge may have cost Amy her job. Will he own up to the crime?

With Tracy far enough along that it's getting difficult to hide her baby bump, she suggests to Nate they get their families together to announce the news.

Elsewhere, Charity and Sarah are caught off guard when the social worker shows up mid-argument and they have to play it cool.

Here's what's coming up this week...

Belle Dingle finds herself in a sticky situation (again) after promising Jamie Tate she'd keep his secret about knocking over Moira Barton.

But after paying Moira a visit, Belle grapples with feelings of guilt as she wonders whether she's doing the right thing.

Moira hears news from the station

Things are made even more complicated by the fact that Nate Robinson knows everything and Jamie has been bribing him to keep his mouth shut. Has he gone to far?

And will Nate spill all?

Elsewhere, Vinny's Dingle's dad Paul thinks up a cunning plan to spend more time with Mandy Dingle when he finds out about Vinny's crush on Liv Flaherty.

Tracy Metcalfe puts pressure on Nate to find a job and Victoria Sugden receives a heartbreaking phone call.
