Gemma said, "I know how hard it is. I've done my research! I am scared, I am nervous. I really want to give it a go. I love the costumes. I love fun factor!"

Richard added, "I'm training because I know they're going to put me in some tight stuff. There's going to be a lot of shape. I'm training from now!"

The presenters also confirmed that they would be returning to the show when it airs on our screens in January next year once again.

This year's series was the first Dancing On Ice since the show went on hiatus in 2014. Ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean had previously worked as trainers to the celebrities on the show, but returned this year as judges.

Former star of The X Factor and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Jake Quickenden took the crown with his professional partner Vanessa Bauer, beating competition from Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent and rugby star Max Evans.

Rumours have been swirling for weeks over who will take to the ice next year, but one celebrity has been categorically ruled out - Katie Price.

The mum-of-five has expressed interest in appearing on the show, but amidst a flurry of personal problems, TV bosses have reportedly decided not to include her in next year's line-up.
