Coronation Street 'forget' they'd killed a character off
Viewers spotted the mistake

Coronation Street viewers witnessed an awkward mistake during last night’s show, involving a character that died over 11 years ago.
The scene in question involved Todd Grimshaw telling his partner that he’d seen Adam Barlow looking for his ‘dad’ in the pub. However viewers were left confused as Adam’s father is Mike Baldwin, who died on the show in 2006.
It's more than likely that Todd was supposed to say ‘grandad’ and the mistake wasn’t picked up in filming or editing, but this didn’t stop viewers of the show taking to Twitter to point out the gaffe.
Mike Baldwin, who was played by actor Johnny Briggs, left in 2006 after an impressive 30 years on the soap.

In his final scenes, Mike escaped hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia and made his way back to his factory. After being found in a bad state by Ken Barlow, Mike collapsed and suffered a massive heart attack, before dying in Ken’s arms.
Bosses are yet to comment on the mistake.
Coronation Street isn't the only soap to make a mistake this week. Eagle eyed Emmerdale viewers spotted something strange on an episode at the beginning of the week.
The scene in question involved Finn Barton showing up at his ex-boyfriend's house to confront him for flaunting his new relationship online.
But viewers were left distracted when they spotted a Christmas tree in the window of the house... in February!
Both Coronation Street and Emmerdale continue weekdays on ITV.
