Netflix tease Black Doves season two following huge success
The first season has been very popular
Last updated 20th Dec 2024
Earlier this month, the new thriller Black Doves landed on Netflix, starring Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw and Sarah Lancashire. The series saw Keira take on the role of a quick-witted, down-to-earth, dedicated wife and mother, who was also a professional spy. While Ben Whishaw plays Helen’s old friend Sam who is asked to keep her safe after her secret lover Jason is assassinated.
Netflix have now confirmed the future of Black Doves with a new video shared on their social channels, showing Keira and Ben in character, meeting at a bar which is decked out with festive decorations.
She greets him with "Merry Christmas" to which he replies "Hello darling" before giving her a kiss on the cheek.
As they toast using their champagne glasses, Keira says: "Here’s to Black Doves season one," before Ben replies: "Don’t forget season two, darling."
At this stage there is no news on what the plot of the new season will be, however as fans will know, the first season saw Keira as Helen passing on her politician husband’s secrets to the shadowy organisation she works for: the Black Doves.
Set at Christmas time in London, after her secret lover is murdered, Helen makes it her personal mission to find out who killed Jason. Eventually, the mum-come-spy uncovers the truth during a showdown with London crime boss Alex Clark, involving Alex’s son Trent.
For those who haven't watched Black Doves season one it's available to watch on Netflix now.
