Nearly a decade ago it was a sad day when we said 'goodbye' to Woolworths, which had been on our high streets for nearly a century.
Best remembered for Back To School clothes, buying records and CDs and their famous Pic 'n' Mix, the former retail giant could be set for a huge comeback!

Former Woolworths director Tony Page has announced plans to buy back the iconic name and return shops to town and city centres across the UK.
Current owners, Shop Direct, no longer user the brand at all since they closed down online retail site Woolworths.co.uk two years ago
Speaking to the Daily Star, Tony said,
"I have contacted Shop Direct and said 'you're not using the brand anymore, would you consider giving it to someone who would?'"
He thinks there is still a place for Woolies in town centres.
"I still absolutely think it would still be a physical retailer. I would want it to be much more a part of the community. The stores that really used to do well were those that were at the heart of the community, rather than being in the big shopping centres.
"It is much easier to walk down the road than to order on Amazon."
The first Woolworths shop opened in Liverpool in 1909, they closed their doors in 2008 after amassing debts of ÂŁ400 million.
